Neuroscience Graduate Students Coating Ceremony

In recognition of their achievements in graduate studies by successful completion of the Doctoral Board Examination, Neuroscience Training Program Students were recognized at the Annual "Graduate Coating Ceremony" on September 1, 2017 at 4:00 p.m., in Sommer Hall. 

 

 

At the ceremony, PhD students who have passed their qualifying exam to become PhD candidates between August 2016 and July 2017 are awarded an embroidered lab coat with their name, and a doctoral student Hopkins lapel pin.  The candidates recite the Graduate Student Oath, and listen to wise words from a Keynote speaker, similar to the White Coat Ceremony for Hopkins medical school students.

Students who passed the Docoral Board Examination this year are:  Cody Call, Raina D'Aleo, Bryce Grier, Cooper Grossman, Dongeon Heo, James Meixiong, Nathaniel Nowak, David Ottenheimer, Shang-Jui Tsai and Nicholas Zaccor
